Burn Circuit 2 and Turbo Fire Done

So finally got around to doing Burn Circuit 2.  I put on my workout clothes at 5:30 am and waited till after lunch!  Just couldn't get motivated today.  Also tried Turbo Fire Hit 30 today for the first time.  Got lost in the first and last part when it came to the punches.  Will keep trying!  There is a new to class version which I may skim through to learn the moves that I get lost on. I am on week 3 of the Chalean Extreme!  Hope to keep motivated!  But going to be out of town this weekend and that always knocks me off my schedule.

Youngest had his valentine party yesterday at preschool.  Was a lot of fun.  I try to make all the parties for preschool.  Today he decided to draw on himself with a marker while I was working out.  Luckily it is washable!  He started out doing the workout with me but there wasn't enough room so I guess he decided to keep himself busy!

Blogging is harder than I thought!

I have obviously been very bad about doing my blog everyday!  I've also been slacking in my Chalean Extreme the last few days.  I need to get back in the groove and do it everyday.  I had a headache for a couple days that wouldn't go away and today my husband got up with the kids because he got home for work earlier.  He works nights so its always me who gets up with the kids and puts them to bed so took advantage of him being home this morning.  I try and workout first thing so that it is over and done!  But now I need to do it yet today.  Which by the way I dislike because I barely have time to take one shower a day (and I still get interrupted with mommy, mommy, mommy!).  So after working out of course I will be sweaty and will either stink till morning or have to fit it another shower!

P90x commercial just came on the tv!  Someday I hope to do it again.  Right now I am looking forward and scared to death about Insanity Asylum coming out!  Gonna try it and do my best.

Hope everyone has a great day!  I need to get ready to go to my 3 yro Valentine's Day party at preschool. Fun, fun!!

Chalean Extreme Week 2 is done!!

Well week 2 is done!  Haven't really been sticking to doing it on a fixed schedule.  In the past I have always started on a certain day and followed exactly!  This time, I'm not super concerned if I miss a day.  Probably because I am also doing Zumba.  Zumba is pretty fun.  The shakers don't do nothing!  Cardio Party is my favorite.  With Chalean I feel like I am gaining more muscle.  But my legs still need so much work which is why I am trying to add extra cardio.  Did the extreme lower body and extreme core circuit today.  We will see how my legs feel tomorrow. 

Wish I would have had my video camera out the other day.  My husband came home and decided to do Shaun T's Hip Hop Abs.  Which is hilarious because he is tall and not very coordinated.  But what topped it off is that he did it in his long underwear!  Too darn funny!  I would never do that program or Zumba in front of anyone but my kids because I am not that coordinated either.  Thinking about getting a couple full length mirrors to see just how silly I look!  Hopefully, I will eventually learn to shake my hips with the best.

Okay, my 12 yro daughter just came in the room so proud of the picture she colored in a coloring book!  What a weirdo!  And yes, she stayed in the lines!  Asked her if she wanted me to hang it on the frig or frame it but I guess its for a friend.  Seriously weird kid!  But at least she's away from her laptop for awhile.

Also need to look into getting one of those toilet paper holders like they have in public restrooms.  You know, the ones that only let you get like 3 sheets!  Put on a new roll today it was gone by this afternoon!  My 3 yro has a serious over user problem!  Seriously, the whole roll!  Only good thing is that he didn't try and flush it down the toilet!

Ready to start week 2 of Chalean Extreme

Finished week one of Chalean Extreme.  I didn't work out last night until 10 pm.  Luckily there was no weight lifting in the workout.  Did Burn it off and recharge.  My body is still super sore from shoveling our sidewalk and driveway.  We got around 17" in Moberly.  My husband had left for Columbia which is 35 miles away on Tuesday morning before the blizzard hit because he had to work at the hospital for 3 nights in a row.  So I've been stuck at home with 5 kids since Monday afternoon when they got out early.  And no school again tomorrow!  Going crazy with all the kids.  And my son's friend has been over a lot too.  I finally made him go home at 8:00 tonight.  I needed some peace:) 

I should probably start my week 2 today but my back, wrist and arms are so sore.  I need to let them rest for at least a day.  I finished shoveling the driveway today.  I thought my neighbor would do some since it is a shared driveway but he didn't!  How annoying!  Needless to say I am really mad at him.

I also started doing Zumba.  Wish this was a Beachbody product because it is a great workout.  Ready for week 2 of it as well.  Been trying to do both workouts everyday.  Hope I can keep up.

Chalean Extreme Day 4 is Over!!

So I decided to do Chalean Extreme.  I am not sure if I will do the entire program but we will see.  So far I have done Burn Circuit 1 and 2.  Instead of Burn Intervals and Ab Burner I am doing the bonus workouts I have called Extreme Intervals and Extreme Core.  Extreme Intervals is super intense.  It uses a stability ball and my arms were so tired by the end from holding up the ball!  Tomorrow is Burn Circuit 3.  The good news with this workout is that you get 2 days off instead of 0-1!!  I took some measurements and checked my weight which I will post in a separate blog.  Can't believe I am going to put my weight online but oh well!

Kids are doing great.  Can't believe school year is half over!  Luckily they are doing great grade wise.  They seem to spend all their free time on the computers.  We also have 2 puppies!  Our yorkie-poo became pregnant and we gave 2 away but couldn't part with them all:(  My sister took one and we gave the other to  a nice family.  Working real hard on potty-training.  One of them is pretty good but the female is being stubborn.  Which is worse potty-training kids or dogs!?  Both are exhausting.  Took them all to church this morning, how stressful.  Its so hard keeping them quiet especially the 3 yro.  His brother took his spot on the pew while he was getting a book and yelled that's my seat!  And I mean yelled!  How embarassing.  I hear we may get some snow.  In the middle of watching Case 39 so better say goodnight.

Shakeology Versus Other Meal Replacements in Price

Shakeology cost is 119.95 for a 30-serving bag or 24-single serve packets.  Come in Chocolate or Greenberry.  Comes out to $3.99 or 4.99 depending on if you want a single serving packet.  HOWEVER, if you are a Beachbody Coach (you can sign up for this on my website at http://www.teambeachbody.com/gotitdone) you can get the same thing for 89.96 or 2.99/3.75 per serving.  Cheaper than going out for fastfood and just as filling and HEALTHY!  As a Beachbody Coach you get a 25% discount on all products including the amazing workout videos!  I will give more info on that in another blog and youtube video.

I did a search on Amazon for meal replacement and came up with a few.  There are some sale prices on items so not sure how long sales last or if they are on going.  I wasn't able to get the back of pkg. so not sure how it compares to Shakeology but I am positive that Shakeology has way more nutrients.

MET-Rx - 115.99 on sale for 59.89 for 18 servings which comes up to 6.44 or 3.33 depending on the sale.

LeanBody Shake 36.36 on sale for 25.97 for 16 servings which comes out to 2.27 for 1.62

LeanBody Carb Watchers Shake 129.99 on sale for 75.90 for 42 packets which comes out to 3.10 or 1.81.

MyoPlex Original Chocolate Formula in 12, 17 oz bottles.  51.00 on sale for 50.63 which comes out to 4.25 or 4.22

So as you can see the price is similar to other meal replacements.  The leanbody shake is cheaper but I doubt it has everything Shakeology does.  You may be able to go to the manufacturers website to check what is in each shake.  The others are all about the same or more.
